Kevin Feige Gives Marvel Studios Update

Kevin Feige gives Marvel Studios UpdateHero Complex Blog hosted a live chat with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige over the weekend, where he discussed a number of upcoming Marvel movies such as Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger, The Avengers and many more.

In response to a question by "RealIrOnMaN," Kevin Feige revealed that Tony Stark will be wearing brand new armor for his turn in The Avengers:

"Hey RealIrOnMaN, you know what, the best part about making an Iron Man movie is deciding which of his many armors to debut. Joss would kill me if I gave anything away, but I will say that the evolution you saw his armor take in IM2 will continue in The Avengers."

Kevin Feige also said that Adolfo may have a cameo in The Avengers. He then responded to a question from "TT" about whether Samuel L. Jackson will appear in the World War II based storyline of Captain America: The First Avenger:

"TT, we're keeping Nick Fury as portrayed by the great Sam Jackson just in the modern era for now."

Also regarding Captain America: The First Avenger, Kevin Feige revealed that while there will be no Invaders in the movie, there will be appearances by the Howling Commandos. Moving on to Thor, Kevin Feige talked about why they abandoned the Old English dialect:

"Hey Jason, as much as I love Stan the man's Shakespearean dialect, we felt it would be over-bearing. However, our director Kenneth Branagh has a great ear for the English language and I think you'll find that the Asgardian speak is appropriately regal."

He also said that after The Avengers and Iron Man 3, Runaways and Ant-Man may be next in line:

"Those 4 films are gonna take up the next three years of my life! but don't worry, we're always working on more."

Kevin Feige also said there was the possibility of a new movie in The Punisher franchise:

"Punisher's back in house, and various plans are in the works."

Thor was released May 6th, 2011.

Captain America: The First Avenger was released July 22nd, 2011.

Marvel's The Avengers was released May 4th, 2012.

Feige needs to really win the fans back after the whole Norton business. Not doing such a good job, IMO, with what I've seen of Thor. I honestly hope that CA: TFA turns out good. If they have passion, intellect, and resources, then Cap should be a fairly strong film.

            @Josh, great idea. Really.

Out of curiosity @Cartman, did you actually have to go to that site to know that it was sh*t? Lol. Just wonderin'.

Hey Cartman, I think Rampage Jackson could fit the role, he's got the build to start with and could bulk up more if needed, he's also got the comedic timing for Barracuda. Otherwise I think they need to look for an unknown. I don't see any one in hollywood that could fit the description and not be an a typical choice. To me the last Punisher film was the closest they've gotten to a comic book adaptation in a while, hollywood tends to over glamorize sh*t and not stick to the text. Thats why the Daredevil and FF movie's are sh*t, no one sticks to the roots. People that are complaining just don't read the books.

@Josh, excellent idea about The Runaways.

I really couldn't care less about another Punisher movie. Fix Daredevil and FF first, and then give Black Panther his due.

CBF I don't know if you've read the Garth Ennis' Punisher books but they're all full of campy blood and guts over the top material. I hope they continue with it and put Barracuda in the next film.

@Cartman Punisher: War Zone was a campy flop. Ray Stevenson was THE ONLY good thing about that movie. FAIL.

@bane HulkBuster Armor - I completely forgot about that! That's probably what it will be then. I'm trying to think of all his Armors past the Mark VI and not much is coming to mind...

Let Whedon do the Runaways as a Marvel TV project. It could totally be the new Buffy!
