Yesterday, a new poster surfaced for 20th Century Fox's upcoming sequel Kingsman: The Golden Circle, which teased that Kingsman: The Secret Service star Colin Firth may return, despite his character Harry Hart being killed off in the original movie. While we wait for confirmation on Colin Firth's return, Deadline reports that the cast keeps growing, with Game of Thrones star Pedro Pascal signing on. The actor will be playing a character named Jack Daniels, who may be a character teased in a previous report.

Last month it was revealed that Eggsy (Taron Egerton) and Merlin (Mark Strong) visit the U.S., where they encounter Halle Berry's character and a "swaggering, sharpshooting cowboy" called Jack. This is presumably the role that Pedro Pascal has landed. That report also revealed the U.S. version of Kingsman is an organization known as the Statesmen, while we saw concept art of Julianne Moore's villainous lair, known as Poppyland. Director Matthew Vaughn previously teased that the sequel will involve a skiing sequence, a barroom brawl, robot dogs, one-armed henchmen and a sequence where the protagonists have to fend off "a massive f***ing frankfurter."

Pedro Pascal joins a cast that already includes original Kingsman: The Secret Service stars Taron Egerton as Eggsy and Edward Holcroft as Charlie Hesketh, another character who was believed to have died in Kingsman: The Secret Service. They will be joined by new cast members Julianne Moore as the villain Poppy and Halle Berry as the head of the CIA. The sequel will move the action from London to the United States, although there still is much we don't know about the plot.

Matthew Vaughn is directing from a script he co-wrote with Jane Goldman, who he has worked with for the past several years. The duo have previously written scripts for Stardust, Kick-Ass, X-Men: First Class and Kingsman: The Secret Service, all of which were directed by Matthew Vaughn. Production is scheduled to begin later this year, but an exact start date has not been revealed. Kingsman: The Secret Service was one of last year's surprise hits at the box office, taking in $128.2 million domestic and $414.3 million worldwide, from an $81 million budget.

Pedro Pascal is best known for his role as Oberyn Martell in Game of Thrones. On the big screen, he most recently starred in Bloodsucking Bastards, and he also drew critical acclaim for playing Javier Pena on Netflix's hit drama series Narcos. He will next be seen in The Great Wall alongside Matt Damon and Willem Dafoe.
