Over the past few months, the 20th Century Fox sequel Kingsman: The Golden Circle has been releasing a number of unique posters which have confirmed new cast members such as Channing Tatum, Elton John and Jeff Bridges. These posters have even revealed the return of Colin Firth, though his character Harry Hart was presumably killed in last year's blockbuster Kingsman: The Secret Service. Today we have word that Vinnie Jones has joined the cast, reuniting him with director Matthew Vaughn.

Vinnie Jones teased on Twitter earlier this week that he was filming scenes for Kingsman 2, although it seems a few of his followers didn't believe him. The actor went on to prove that he was in fact on the Kingsman: The Golden Circle set by posting a few videos and new photos of the actor alongside director Matthew Vaughn and co-star Julianne Moore. Unfortunately, the actor wouldn't shed any light on his character in the sequel.

This project marks a reunion for Vinnie Jones and director Matthew Vaughn. As a producer, Matthew Vaughn and director Guy Ritchie gave Vinnie Jones, a former pro soccer player, his first ever acting gig in the 1998 cult classic Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrells. The producer and director also cast the actor in Snatch, and while both of their careers took off from there, they haven't worked with each other since. It isn't known how much longer Kingsman 2 will be shooting for.

In Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Eggsy (Taron Egerton) and Merlin (Mark Strong) visit the U.S., where they encounter Halle Berry's character and a "swaggering, sharpshooting cowboy" called Jack, played by Pedro Pascal. The U.S. version of Kingsman is an organization known as the Statesmen, and Julianne Moore's character resides in a villainous lair known as Poppyland. Director Matthew Vaughn previously teased that the sequel will involve a skiing sequence, a barroom brawl, robot dogs, one-armed henchmen and a sequence where the protagonists have to fend off "a massive f***ing frankfurter."

Matthew Vaughn is directing from a script he co-wrote with his longtime collaborator Jane Goldman, who worked with the director on Stardust, Kick-Ass, X-Men: First Class and Kingsman: The Secret Service. 20th Century Fox has set a June 16, 2017 release date for Kingsman 2, so stay tuned for more casting updates from this action packed sequel. In the meantime, take a look at the new set photos below from Kingsman: The Golden Circle.
