Moviehole has dug a bit of interesting information out of a recent interview in the Herald Sun. It seems that Kodi Smit Mc-Phee, the young actor that stars opposite Vigo Mortensen in the big screen adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's The Road, has joined Matt Reeves' remake of the Swedish cult favorite Let the Right One in.

Now titled Let Me In, the new film is "inspired" by Tomas Alfredson's horror story about a young boy that develops a tight bond with a vampire child. Though Mc-Phee hasn't signed on the dotted line to play the twelve-year old Oskar, the actor says that it is looking like a lock.

The remake is scheduled to start shooting before the end of the year with a proposed 2010 release date.
