It's now confirmed by the studio that Kurt Russell and John Brotherton have joined the cast of James Wan's upcoming action sequel Fast & Furious 7. Vin Diesel revealed the addition of the former with a Facebook post on http://movieweb.com/first-look-at-kurt-russell-on-the-set-of-fast-furious-7/Tuesday, which included this behind the scenes peek at the production.
John Brotherton will be portraying Sheppard, who is being described as Kurt Russell's right hand man. No character details have been released for Kurt Russell's character, though judging from the above photo, he's one of the good guys. James Wan will be directing from a script by Chris Morgan.
Kurt Russell's long list of films include Escape From New York, Backdraft and more recently Don Handfield's sports drama Touchback. He will next be seen in S. Craig Zahler's western horror Bone Tomahawk. John Brotherton is best known for his role in The Conjuring.
The project has already begun production in Atlanta.
