With the Cannes Film Festival starting up, several film projects are being revealed as producers are looking for buyers and the latest has a high-profile star attached. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kurt Russell has been attached to the new film project, Undying.

The film was written by The Book of Eli screenwriter Gary Whitta and features Russell staring as private detective Virgil Lone, who takes a case from a mysterious client named Delia that draws him into a supernatural underworld.

"Kurt Russell is perfect for this role," said no_pesron|Stewart Hall, president of Media 8 who is producing the film. "He is truly one of the few actors who audiences continually embrace as a real hero."

Production was said to start on the film sometime this fall.
