Universal is banking on moviegoers getting lost in a magical land a little earlier than planned. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Universal has moved Land of the Lost to the June 5 slot from its oringally-planned July 17 slot.

This move is seen to be another reactionary move since Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince shifted its release date from November 21 of this year to July 17, 2009.

The only other film that was slotted for the June 5 release was Fast and Furious, another Universal property, but they have also shifted gears on that release as well. The fourth Furious film will now bow a week later on June 12.
