Blackthorn star Eduardo Noriega has joined the cast of Last Stand for Lionsgate and director Jee-woon Kim.

The story centers on Arnold Schwarzenegger's character, the sheriff of a small border town who squares off against Cortez (Eduardo Noriega), a Mexican drug cartel leader who is trying to flee into Mexico with $400 million. Peter Stormare, Zach Gilford, Jaimie Alexander, and Rodrigo Santoro also star.

Jee-woon Kim is directing Last Stand. Andrew Knauer wrote the original screenplay, which was rewritten by Jeffrey Nachmanoff and George Nolfi. Lorenzo di Bonaventura is producing Last Stand for Lionsgate.

Production is scheduled to begin on October 20 in Mexico.
