Chinese singer/songwriter Leehom Wang has been set to star in Magic Storm Entertainment's upcoming superhero adaptation, Annihilator.

The film is based on a character created by comic legend Stan Lee and tells the story of a young Chinese expatriate named Ming. He must choose whether to be to thrown in prison or enlist in a secret U.S. super soldier program. Ming chooses to take part in the nearly fatal procedure and is given remarkable power. He goes on to face a former rival, who has his own set of powers, and ends up defeating the villain.

Barry Josephson is producing with Dan Gilroy (Real Steel) writing the script. Leehom Wang is best known for being a Chinese music star. He previously starred in Lust, Caution and Love in Disguise.

Magic Storm CEO Eric Mika had this to say about the addition.

"He not only adds value to the character, but also appeals to a global audience and he has great passion for this particular role and film."
