Clint Eastwood is taking time out on the J. Edgar set to talk with Leonardo DiCaprio about possible inclusion in the director's new Warner Bros. project A Star Is Born, hoping the actor might consider the role of the male lead, starring opposite Beyoncé Knowles, who is already attached to the musical.

Clint Eastwood will direct the film, from a script by Will Fetters. There have been many renditions of A Star is Born over the years, including the 1976 version starring Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson.

No production date has been set.
