Actors Leslie Mann and Israel Broussard (Flipped) have joined the cast of director Sofia Coppola's true crime tale The Bling Ring.

The drama is based on the true story of six teenagers, known as The Bling Ring, who broke into the homes of Hollywood celebrities, making off with over $3 million in stolen goods from October 2008 to August 2009. Leslie Mann will play the mother of two girls in The Bling Ring, while Israel Broussard portrays the male lead. Emma Watson and American Horror Story's Taissa Farmiga have already been cast.

Sofia Coppola is directing The Bling Ring from her own screenplay. The director has also cast three newcomers, Katie Chang, Claire Pfister and Georgia Rock, who will make their feature debuts as members of The Bling Ring.

Production is scheduled to begin this spring in Los Angeles.
