Actors Liam Neeson and Olivia Wilde have joined the cast of Third Person for writer-director Paul Haggis. The filmmaker confirmed the casting news in New York last night, and also revealed story details.

"It's about three story lines, three love stories, three relationships in three different cities that combine in a very odd way: New York, Paris, Rome."

News of this project first came from a report in the New York Post last week, which revealed that the movie revolves around a nightlife reporter. The director says that aspect is only a small part of the story.

"I wanted one of them to have a job in New York. So after writing the script, I thought, 'Oh, party reporting, that would be great.' But literally, it's just that. The character is not based on anyone, or anything like that. Imagine, the Post not having the correct information!"

Olivia Wilde will be playing the aforementioned journalist, with Liam Neeson portraying her boyfriend. It is said the director is aiming at an August production start, although it isn't known if a studio is attached as of yet. We reported yesterday that Liam Neeson will star in Non-Stop, but it isn't known which project will go into production first.
