John Travolta, Kate Bosworth and Devon Sawa have signed on to star in the Marro Films and Elite Film Productions' Life on the Line.

The plot centers on a crew of electrical lineman, who work high above the ground to fix the electrical grid and struggle to maintain their relationships with the women they love. Their lives are put in immediate danger when a storm tears through the area.

David Hackl (Saw V) is directing from a screenplay by Primo Brown, Dylan Scott and Peter Horton. Marvin Peart and Phillip Glasser are producing, with Chad Dubea serving as an executive producer.

Here's what Marro Films CEO Marvin Peart had to say in a statement.

"The last film made in and around the lineman industry was in 1937, Slim the Lineman, and starred Henry Fonda. It's an honor and a career highlight to tell this modern-day story about these unsung heroes. With John Travolta, Kate Bosworth and Devon Sawa lending their extraordinary talents to this project, the sky's the limit."

Production is scheduled to begin next week in Vancouver, with shooting scheduled to take place for six weeks on a budget between $10 and $12 million.

John Travolta will next be seen in The Forger and In a Valley of Violence. Kate Bosworth recently starred in Homefront and While We Were Here. Devon Sawa stars in the upcoming thriller The Exorcism of Molly Hartley.
