Lizzy Caplan Joins Seth Rogen and James Franco in ‘The Interview’

Lizzy Caplan joins Seth Rogen and James Franco in The InterviewLizzy Caplan has signed on for the female lead in Sony Pictures' comedy The Interview.

We first reported on this project back in March, when Seth Rogen and James Franco became attached to star. The story revolves around a talk show host and a producer (Seth Rogen), who get caught up in a plot to assassinate the prime minister of North Korea. No details were given for Lizzy Caplan's character. It should be noted that our report from March indicated that James Franco may play the talk show host, although that hasn't been confirmed yet.

Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, who made their directorial debuts with this summer's This Is the End, are directing from a script they both co-wrote with The Daily Show writer Dan Sterling. James Weaver is producing alongside Seth Rogen. No production schedule was given.

Lizzy Caplan can currently be seen in the Showtime drama series Masters of Sex. On the big screen, she recently starred in Bachelorette and Save the Date.

The Interview was released December 25th, 2014.
