After winning the Oscar for best picture and best director last year for his brilliant film, Slumdog Millionaire, everyone was left wondering what Danny Boyle would do next? Now we finally have an answer as it was recently announced that the director would take on the harrowing true story of mountain climber Aron Ralston, the man who amputated his own arm in order to free himself after being trapped by a boulder in a cave for nearly five days. Fox Searchlight will produce the film entitled, 127 Hours, which reunites Boyle with his Slumdog Millionaire screenwriter Simon Beaufoy. The film will star James Franco (Milk) as Ralston and it is expected that the film will have over an hour of no dialogue, as to depict the real life event.

While out doing promotion for her new film, Hot Tub Time Machine, actress Lizzy Caplan admitted that she had recently been cast in the film. "I'm doing a movie next month called 127 Hours," confessed Caplan. The actress, who is best known for her role on the popular Starz series Party Down and in the film Cloverfield, had this to say about the upcoming project. "It's Danny Boyle's new movie with James Franco and it's about Aron Ralston the hiker, you probably read about him. He got caught in a cave with a boulder and then he cut off his own arm." When pressed on what part she would be playing in the film Caplan only replied, "I play his sister."

We will bring you more information on this project as it becomes available. Hot Tub Time Machine opens in theaters on March 26th, while the second season of Party Down premieres April 23rd on Starz.
