X-Men: First Class star Lucas Till has signed on for the lead role in Wolves for writer-director David Hayter.

The actor will play a young man who transforms into a werewolf after he is falsely accused of murdering his parents. He goes on the run and discovers a small town named Lupine Ridge, where he discovers secrets about his true identity.

David Hayter (X-Men) will make his feature directorial debut, working from his own screenplay. He also wrote the scripts for X2: X-Men United, The Scorpion King, and Watchmen. Entertainment One's Benedict Carver is producing alongside Copperhead Entertainment's Steven Hoban.

Production is scheduled to begin next month in Toronto. Lucas Till is currently shooting Paranoia, starring Liam Hemsworth, Harrison Ford, and Gary Oldman. It has not been confirmed if he will return for the X-Men: First Class sequel, X-Men: Days of Future Past, as Havoc.
