According to Variety, Luke Wilson is in negotiations to star in Prospect Pictures' comedy Barry Munday, about a womanizer who wakes up sans his "Family Jewels" after an irate father attacks him with a trumpet.

Things go from bad to worse for the title character when he learns that he's being sued for paternity by a woman he can't even remember having sex with.

Prospect, which recently produced Pretty Persuasion, said "Munday" is being privately financed by a group of investors including Eleven Eleven Films.

Chris D'Arienzo is set to direct and write "Munday," which is based on Frank Turner Hollon's novel "Life Is a Strange Place." Amy Adams is in talks to co-star.

Producers are Prospect's Matthew Weaver, Carl Levin and Marcos Siega. Rosanne Korenberg is exec producing.
