Yesterday, Channing Tatum revealed the first poster for his highly-anticipated sequel Magic Mike XXL, while teasing that fans will get their first look at the sequel on today's episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. While the actor didn't specify what would be shown on Ellen, many fans' suspicions were confirmed when the first trailer debuted on the show earlier today. The trailer comes just over four months after production started at the end of September, with Warner Bros. setting a July 1, 2015 release date.

Picking up the story three years after Mike bowed out of the stripper life at the top of his game, Magic Mike XXL finds the remaining Kings of Tampa likewise ready to throw in the towel. But they want to do it their way: burning down the house in one last blow-out performance in Myrtle Beach, and with legendary headliner Magic Mike sharing the spotlight with them. On the road to their final show, with whistle stops in Jacksonville and Savannah to renew old acquaintances and make new friends, Mike and the guys learn some new moves and shake off the past in surprising ways.

Channing Tatum is joined by new cast members Andie MacDowell, Jada Pinkett Smith, Amber Heard, Elizabeth Banks and Michael Strahan, along with returning Magic Mike stars Matthew Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Kevin Nash, Adam Rodriguez and Gabriel Iglesias. Check out the first footage from Magic Mike XXL, which could be one of the biggest hits of the summer movie season.
