Focus World has picked up U.S. distribution rights to David Cronenberg's drama Maps to the Stars. The studio is targeting a early 2015 release for the project.

John Cusack portrays Stafford Weiss, a psychotherapist who reunites with his daughter Agatha (Mia Wasikowska) after her release from a sanatorium where she was being treated for criminal pyromania. Robert Pattinson co-stars as a limo driver and aspiring actor who becomes close to Agatha, with Julianne Moore playing the role of Stafford's wife, who wants to remake a 1960's movie that made her mother a star. Julianne Moore earned best actress honors for the role at the Cannes International Film Festival in May.

David Cronenberg directed the film from a script by Bruce Wagner. Martin Katz, Saïd Ben Saïd, Michel Merkt, Renee Tab and Benedict Carver produced the project. The film will be screening at the Toronto International Film Festival and the New York Film Festival later this month.
