Adrien Brody and Maria Bello have signed on to star in Third Person for writer-director Paul Haggis.

The story follows three couples living in Rome, Paris, and New York, with each pairing representing the beginning, the middle, and the end of a relationship. Adrien Brody and Moran Atias play the new couple who take a road trip through Itally. Liam Neeson and Kim Basinger portray the Paris couple, who are both writers. Mila Kunis and James Franco are playing the embattled New York couple. Casey Affleck was previously attached as Moran Atias' boyfriend, although it isn't known if he is still involved in the project. No details were given for Maria Bello's character.

Paul Haggis is directing from his own original screenplay, with Paul Breuls and Michael Nozik producing. Principal photography began today in Rome.
