While shooting Star Wars: Episode VII, Mark Hamill will be exactly the same age as Alec Guinness was when he shot Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope, at 66 years-old. Mark Hamill seems to be channeling his old Jedi Master with a full beard that he proudly displayed while attending the Guardians of the Galaxy premiere in London.

The BBC has a new video with the aging Luke Skywalker, where you can see the beard, something he calls a 'contractual obligation'. It's rumored that Skywalker will be a reclusive hermit, just like Ben was when we first met him way back in 1977. Other story details claim that he has gone missing.

Mark Hamill talks about his upcoming return to the role that launched his career, his beard, and that little Harrison Ford mishap on set that cost the actor a broken leg.

Mark Hamill had this to say about his beard, and the fact that he is taking a backseat to new characters in Star Wars: Episode VII.

""It's really about the new generation of characters. We're just there to lend our support, and grow contractually obligated beards."

About Harrison Ford's broken leg, his old pal stated,

""It'll take more than that to stop Harrison Ford!"

He also talked about stepping back onto the set for the first time,

"We had a beginning, a middle, and an end-I never thought we'd come back. [The script is great], you immediately understand who these people are and relate to them."
