In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, Martha Plimpton is coming aboard ABC's Grey's Anatomy for a multi-episode arc.

Plimpton will play the mother of a young patient on the sixth season premiere September 24.

Plimpton has also been a recurring character on NBC's ER.
