Warner Bros.' Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which is currently shooting in Detroit, will set the table for the studio's highly-anticipated Justice League movie, although it still hasn't been confirmed which heroes and villains will come together for that massive ensemble, which will be directed by Zack Snyder. The Wrap reporter Jeff Sneider tweeted out an "agency grid" which reportedly reveals that two of the open roles in Justice League are Martian Manhunter and Max Lord, with Darkseid set to be the villain.

Of course, we have no idea where this "agency grid" came from, but this isn't the first time we've heard Martian Manhunter's name being mentioned in regards to Justice League. We reported back in December that Jason Momoa was in talks for a role in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which was rumored to be either Martian Manhunter or the villain Doomsday. Of course, there was never any official confirmation that he signed on, but another report surfaced in April that he had officially signed on, despite the actor himself denying rumors of his involvement.

It should be noted that David S. Goyer recently denounced the Martian Manhunter character, stating that he couldn't be called Martian Manhunter in the movie because it is just "goofy." Here's what he had to say during a podcast appearance last month.

"Well, he hasn't been rebooted but he's a mainstay in the Justice League. He can't be [frick]ing called the Martian Manhunter because that's goofy. He can be called Manhunter... The whole deal with Martian Manhunter is he's an alien living amongst us... So he comes down to Earth and decides, unlike Superman who already exists in the world now, that he's just going to be a homicide detective... So instead of using super-powers and mind-reading and like, oh, I could figure out if the President's lying or whatever, he just decides to disguise himself as a human homicide detective. Dare to dream!"

This is the first we're hearing about Max Lord's potential involvement in Justice League. In the comics, Max Lord was a businessman who instrumental in forming the Justice League, so it would make sense that he would be involved in this highly-anticipated adaptation.

We reported yesterday that Justice League is being eyed for a May 2017 debut, following Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
(May 2016), Shazam! (July 2016) and Sandman (Christmas 2016).
