When Marvel unveiled their ambitious Phase Three slate back in October, which spans through the year 2019, many of the later projects such as Inhumans were still in the very early stages of development. Marvel is solidifying filmmakers for several of the movies in this phase, and we reported back in March that the studio wants Adam McKay to direct a future Marvel movie, which was rumored to be Inhumans, the last Phase Three movie slated for release on July 12, 2019. Collider spoke with producer Kevin Feige to promote Avengers: Age of Ultron, where he said that Adam McKay is in the running for every Marvel project, and the studio is trying to find something for him to direct, although he doesn't address Inhumans specifically.

"Adam McKay is in the running for everything. Adam McKay is a great, great writer and director. He did an amazing pass on the Ant-Man draft with Paul Rudd for us, and I didn't know him before then. And we got to know him through that and liked him very much, and have met with him a number of times trying to find something else, so we've talked about a lot of characters with him."

There are still several Phase Three projects that still do not have a director attached, including Thor: Ragnarok (November 3, 2017), Black Panther (July 6, 2018), Captain Marvel (November 2, 2018) and Inhumans (July 12, 2019). It's also possible he could take the helm on Marvel and Sony's Spider-Man reboot as well, but it seems likely that the filmmaker will certainly be working with Marvel again in the future.

The site also asked Kevin Feige about a rumored logline for Inhumans, which reads, "About a group of people that are given powers only to discover they might be part of an alien race." While the producer revealed that certainly isn't the official logline, it may be fairly accurate.

"Well I'd say that's relatively fair, but that's not official. I've never seen that as an official logline."
