Last week, we heard a variety of different stories concerning Marvel and Sony's new Spider-Man reboot planned for 2017. Some rumors claimed that the two studios were at a standstill, and arguing over who should be Peter Parker. While nothing is confirmed, Asa Butterfield no longer appears to be in the running. The two final candidates are said to be Tom Holland and Charlie Rowe. But no announcement has been made, and it isn't expected soon. While we wait to hear who will be our new Spider-Man, Tom Holland has decided to up his ante by sharing instagram videos that show off exactly why he should be the new Peter Parker.

In three different videos, apparently shot at the young actor's house, Tom Holland performs an increasingly difficult series of flips off his porch. He starts with a front flip, and ends with a pretty Amazing backflip. If he is chosen to become Spider-Man, it's clear he'll be doing some of his own stunts. In fact, this looks particularly dangerous, and brings into question the insurance policy the studio will have to take out on the young star. He could easily break his neck doing something like this.

Tom Holland is best known for his role in The Impossible, and at 19-years-old, is perfectly in the range to play a High School Peter Parker over a number of films leading into 2021. The story of the rebooted trilogy will reportedly span three years in the High School life of the web-slinging superhero, though no other details have been revealed at this time. It is believed, but has yet to be confirmed, that the new Peter Parker will first show up in next summer's Captain America: Civil War, which is currently shooting in Atlanta. It is believed that Sony wants Tom Holland as their new Spider-Man, while Marvel wants Charlie Rowe. Though, some reports claim that Marvel is also keen on bringing in Charlie Plummer. Will either of those actors show off their own stunt abilities this week? Or is Tom Holland the clear winner here?
