Marvel's the Avengers Told from Perspective of Captain America
Director Joss Whedon is putting the finishing touches on Marvel's the Avengers, which kicks off the summer movie season May 4. While the ensemble features an entire team of superheroes, the filmmaker revealed that most of the story will be told through the perspective of Chris Evans' Captain America character.
Here's what he had to say below.
"I set out with a very simple problem: There is no reason for these people to be in the same movie. So that's what my movie has to be about. So much of the movie takes place from Steve Rogers' (Chris Evans) perspective, since he's the guy who just woke up and sees this weird ass world. Everyone else has been living in it."
Marvel's the Avengers also stars Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Mark Ruffalo as The Incredible Hulk, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, and Tom Hiddleston as the villainous Loki.
