British actor Matt Lucas has boarded the Judd Apatow-produced comedy Bridesmaids for Universal.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the wedding party also includes Ellie Kemper, Jill Clayburgh, Chris O'Dowd, Melissa McCarthy and Wendi McLendon-Covey.

The film stars Kristen Wiig as a maid of honor trying to please the snobby, rich bridesmaids at every pre-wedding event before her best friend's nuptials.

Wiig wrote the screenplay with Annie Mumolo. Paul Feig is directing.
