Matthew Fox is a busy man after shooting the season finale of Lost; he's not taking any breaks between the second and third season. Currently, he's shooting We Are Marshall in Atlanta; the movie is based on the true events of a 1970 plane crash that killed 37 members of the Marshall University football team and how the school recovered in the following season.

After Matthew wraps on that movie, he told us, "I fly to Mexico City for almost seven weeks to start shooting another movie, called Vantage Point. It's a contemporary action thriller set in Barcelona, Spain about a kidnapping attempt on the President of the United States. It's got a great cast - Dennis Quaid, William Hurt, and a bunch of really good people; I play a secret service agent in the movie."

He continued with "Vantage Point was a movie I wanted to do during hiatus last year, but for one reason or another it fell out of my window and then it came back to the window of my time this year."

He couldn't give us any more information than that. Vantage Point will be directed by Pete Travis; it has a 2007 release.

As far as the Lost Season 2 finale, Matthew says, "It's something I honestly can't really speak aboutng about. It's an amazing finale, it's going to be really cool; it leaves the year in an amazing way. I can't wait for how the year is going to kick off this year, too."

You can catch Matthew Fox in We Are Marshall when it opens in theaters October 27th, 2006; directed by McG, the film boasts another tremendous cast of Matthew McConaughey, David Strathairn, Anthony Mackie, Ian McShane, and Brian Geraghty.
