Game of Thrones star Nathalie Emmanuel has signed to star in 20th Century Fox's upcoming sequel The Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials.

The actress will play Harriet, who leads a group of girls out of a different maze, before she meets up with Thomas (Dylan O'Brien) and his crew of Gladers. Harriet will also return for the third installment of the franchise.

The Maze Runner stars Thomas Brodie-Sangster (Newt), Kaya Scodelario (Teresa), Patricia Clarkson (Ava Paige) and Ki Hong Lee (Minho) are slated to reprise their roles, alongside new cast members Aidan Gillen (Janson), Rosa Salazar (Brenda), Jacob Lofland (Aris Jones) and Giancarlo Esposito (Jorge).

Wes Ball is directing from an adapted screenplay by T.S. Nowlin, based on the James Dashner novel. Shooting is scheduled to begin next month in New Mexico.

Nathalie Emmanuel is best known for playing Missandei, the hand-maiden of Emilia Clarke's Daenerys Targaryen in HBO's Game of Thrones. She will next be seen on the big screen in Universal's Fast & Furious 7.
