Filmmaker McG could be making his next foray into television by directing the pilot episode of Wonder Woman for creator David E. Kelley.

We reported just a few days ago that NBC picked up the pilot, despite initially passing on the project. The network changed its mind after the new Comcast management took over NBC, primarily Robert Greenblatt, who previously oversaw the development of Showtime hit programs such as Dexter and Weeds.

McG hasn't officially signed on to direct the Wonder Woman pilot, although it is said he is the favored candidate. McG currently serves as the executive producer of Nikita and Gossip Girl on the CW, Fox's Human Target and NBC's Chuck. McG directed Chuck's pilot episode in 2007.

We also reported earlier this month that McG signed on to direct the big-screen adventure Ouija for Universal. Although a November 9, 2012 release date has been set for Ouija, it isn't clear when production will start.
