A mother and father start to go off the rails after their son is kidnapped in the first trailer for Meadowland, debuting in theaters October 16 before arriving on VOD formats October 23. The film first debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival back in April, where it was acquired by Cinedigm. Stars Olivia Wilde and Luke Wilson received rave reviews at the festival for their performances, which fans everywhere can see for themselves next month.

In the hazy aftermath of an unimaginable loss, married couple Sarah (Olivia Wilde) and Phil (Luke Wilson) come unhinged, recklessly ignoring the repercussions. Phil, a New York City cop, starts to lose sight of his morals as Sarah puts herself in increasingly dangerous situations, falling deeper into her own fever dream. The directorial debut of cinematographer Reed Morano, Meadowland is a visceral exploration of grief and hope.

The supporting cast is rounded out by Giovanni Ribisi, Elisabeth Moss, Ty Simpkins, John Leguizamo, Kevin Corrigan, Juno Temple and Merritt Wever. Olivia Wilde also serves as a producer on Meadowland, alongside Aaron L. Gilbert of Bron Studios, Margot Hand and Matt Tauber. The script was written by newcomer Chris Rossi, and with Adam Taylor (August: Osage County) providing the score.

Jennifer Levine, Jason Cloth , Alex Garcia, Santiago Garcia Galvan, Marla Rand, Scott Paterson and Lauren Selig serve as the executive producers on Meadowland. Before making his directorial debut with Meadowland, Reed Morano served as the director of photography on indie films like Kill Your Darlings, The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete and The Skeleton Twins. The director also served as his own cinematographer on this film.

We also have the first poster for Meadowland, which will go up against Bridge of Spies, Crimson Peak and Goosebumps in wide release, along with a slew of critically-acclaimed indie films. Also opening on October 16 in limited release is Room, Truth, Woodlawn and All Things Must Pass.
