Almost every single character in Fox's upcoming Batman prequel series Gotham has origins in the DC Comics, such as James Gordon (Ben McKenzie), Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue), Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin (Robin Taylor), Selina Kyle/Catwoman (Camren Bicondova), Edward Nygma/The Riddler (Cory Michael Smith) and Ivy Pepper/Poison Ivy (Clare Foley ll).

However, the main villain is a character specifically created for the show, Jada Pinkett Smith's Fish Mooney, who is showcased in the latest trailer with new footage. Watch as Gordon is dragged to a meeting with the notorious gangster, where she showcases her violent temper along with a hint at how Oswald Cobblepot's Penguin nickname got started. The pilot episode debuts Monday, September 22 at 8 PM ET on Fox.
