TBS has pre-bought the cable rights to Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns before it has even debuted in theaters. According to Variety, the film was the key title in a four picture deal between TBS and Lionsgate.

The deal was valued at $8 million to $10 million, depending on how the film does at the box office. The other three titles include Witless Protection, Lord of War, and In the Mix. Lionsgate's Rand Stoll stated, "Turner is keeping up with the Tyler Perry franchise and the Larry the Cable Guy franchise in this deal."

Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns will be broadcast on TBS in August of 2010.
