The 2018 film Damsel has Wasikowska dipping her feet into a comedic American Western. Wasikowski stars as Penelope alongside Robert Pattinson as Samuel. This film is centered around a lesbian couple and their two children. Their oldest daughter Joni (Wasikowska) is about to go off to college when her younger brother decides to look into their past. Continuously submerging herself in the horror genre, Wasikowska's iconic role in Crimson Peak is something we'll never forget. Wasikowka plays Edith, a young lady who ends up marrying the charming Thomas Sharpe and gets taken to his beautiful mansion. Also in the home is Sharpe's sister Lady Lucille, who is concealing the family's secrets. Using her abilities to talk with the dead, Edith realizes that she may be in over her head as the truth starts coming into the light. She may find that the true horror is in the land of the living, not the dead.

Jane Eyre is originally a certified classic romance novel written by Emily Brontë. In this glorious film adaptation, Wasikowska completely outdoes herself and her acting performance alone makes this entire movie worth a watch. The drama romance follows the abused orphan Jane, played by Wasikowska. After she receives her education and becomes a governess, her relationship with Edward Rochester, the owner of the estate begins to grow into something more.
