Opening in New York last Friday, and coming to select screens in Los Angeles this Friday, the 1987 cult action thriller Miami Connection is seeking Oscar gold with a new trailer from Drafthouse Films. Watch and decide for yourself as Maurice Smith pleads for a Best Supporting Actor nod for his role as 'Jim'. We think the song Friends has a real chance at garnering a Best Original Song nomination, but the fact that it is three decades old might hamper its eligibility.
