Actor Michael Angarano has revealed that he has a role in Kevin Smith's final movie Hit Somebody, portraying a Russian hockey player. Here's what director Kevin Smith told Michael Angarano about his character:

"[Kevin] said, 'Learn how to skate and learn how to speak in a Russian accent."

We reported earlier this week that Kevin Smith will self-distribute his horror project Red State, and he also announced that Hit Somebody will be his final movie as a director. Kevin Smith also said that most of his Red State cast will have roles in Hit Somebody. Nicholas Braun will star alongside Kyle Gallner and Michael Angarano, who all appeared in Red State.

Hit Somebody is said to start shooting sometime in July. The project is based off a Warren Zevon song about a hockey player with a penchant for fighting. Nicholas Braun will play the lead, Buddy McKraken with Kyle Gallner playing a hockey star who is compared to Wayne Gretzky, the kind of player McKraken aspires to be. Here's what Nicholas Braun had to say about the shooting schedule for Hit Somebody:

"I think what he wants to do is shoot all the hockey stuff first, the action sequences first, so we get that out of the way. Then he can just shoot story the rest of the time."
