Mickey Rourke and Inglourious Basterds star Til Schweiger have both come aboard the new thriller The Courier, according to The Wrap.

The movie centers around Jeffrey Dean Morgan's title character, a courier with a penchant for dangerous assignments. When he's hired to deliver a briefcase to a notorious crime figure who hasn't been seen in years, he finds himself being chased by corrupt cops and federal agents along with rivals from the criminal world.

It wasn't said which character Mickey Rourke was playing in the movie, but the site reports that Til Schweiger will be portraying an FBI agent. Hany Abu-Assad (Paradise Now) is directing from a script by the Wanted writing team of Derek Haas and Michael Brandt. Filming was said to begin on The Courier this month in New Orleans.

Variety is also reporting that Til Schweiger has landed a role in the upcoming McG comedy This Means War, which stars Tom Hardy, Chris Pine and Reese Witherspoon. It was said that Til Schweiger would portray an arms dealer in the movie, which centers on Tom Hardy and Chris Pine's characters, both spies, who fall for the same woman (Reese Witherspoon).
