Attending the Creative Coallition party last night, Emile Hirsch revealed that Miles Teller will serve as his co-star, appearing as Dan Aykroyd in the Untitled John Belushi Project.

Here's what Emile Hirsch, who is taking on the lead role as comedian and Saturday Night Live original cast mate John Belushi, had to say about the casting.

"A shout-out to Miles Teller! We're going to be working together soon. He's playing Dan Aykroyd in the Belushi movie."

Miles Teller was in attendance at the festival, where his new film Whiplash was the opening night film, before it was acquired by Sony Pictures. The actor's agency, CAA, confirms the actor has not officially signed on, though he does have an offer to star. Miles Teller will consider which project to take on next after the festival concludes, and he finishes his press commitments for his upcoming comedy That Awkward Moment, hitting theaters January 31.

Emile Hirsch joined the project in October, beating out other actors such as Joaquin Phoenix and Adam DeVine for the role of John Belushi. The actor revealed to us exclusively in November that the story follows John Belushi's early years out of high school and college, and then will jump to the final days of his life. The comedian passed away at the age of 33 from a heroin overdose in 1982.

Steve Conrad is directing from his own screenplay, with Dan Aykroyd himself, who starred with John Belushi on Saturday Night Live and the 1980 classic The Blues Brothers, serving as an executive producer. No production schedule was given.
