Paula Patton joins the cast of Mission: ImpossiblePaula Patton is the latest cast addition to Paramount Pictures upcoming franchise reboot Mission: Impossible. Deadline is reporting that she will play a young operative who teams up with Tom Cruise's Ethan Hunt.

In the same story, Deadline claims that Tom Cruise and producer J.J. Abrams, who came up with the story together, have decided to remove the IV from the title. Agreed with @Insert, and how is it a reboot anyway when it still has Tom Cruise, Ving Rhames, and Simon Pegg from the last movie starring? That doesn't make any sense.

Dropping the number from the title doesn't make it a reboot.

I'll see this, whether it's a sequel or reboot. The series is good.

Its a reboot with the same lead actor (tom cruise) and supporting actor (ving rhames). That makes a lot of sense. Its a sequel......same characters...different setting....all they need to say.

If its a reboot, then it shouldnt have tom cruise in it. Jeremy Renner should take his place.
