Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment confirmed the four new playable characters coming to Mortal Kombat X in Kombat Pack 2 as downloadable content (DLC) in the first quarter of 2016. The new guest characters include Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre horror film series and the Xenomorph from the classic sci-fi horror film franchise Alien. Additional characters include classic Mortal Kombat characters Bo Rai Cho, master of the drunken fist, and series favorites Cyrax, Sektor and Robot Smoke in the form of new Kombatant, Tri-Borg.

Mortal Kombat X is NetherRealm Studios' most recent instalment in its legendary, critically acclaimed fighting game franchise that propels the iconic franchise into a new generation. The video game combines cinematic presentation with all new gameplay to deliver the most brutal Kombat experience ever, offering a new fully-connected experience that launches players into a persistent online contest where every fight matters in a global battle for supremacy.

For the first time, Mortal Kombat X gives players the ability to choose from multiple variations of each character impacting both strategy and fighting style. Players step into an original story showcasing some of the game's most prolific characters including Scorpion and Sub-Zero, while introducing new challengers that represent the forces of good and evil and tie the tale together. Mortal Kombat X was released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC formats on April 14, and for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this summer.

Leatherface and the Xenomorph aren't the first movie characters to be introduced in Mortal Kombat X. The first DLC included Predator and Jason Voorhees, along with Tanya and Tremor. It isn't known how much Kombat Pack #2 will cost, but the first DLC was priced at $30. We also don't know how many Kombat Packs Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment plans on releasing for this hit game, or what other beloved characters will be introduced.

This news comes just one month after Gunnar Hansen, the original Leatherface in the 1974 classic The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, passed away at the age of 68. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has released a new trailer, where you can see Leatherface, the Xenomorph from Alien, Bo Rai Cho and Tri-Borg in action.
