A Thousand Words

Fast-talking agent Jack's insincere patter is his chief weapon, but it irritates his assistant Aaron, threatens his marriage to Caroline and gets him into trouble repping guru/author Dr. Sinja. Jack suffers karmic repercussions from Sinja's magical Bodhi tree, which sheds one leaf for each word Jack speaks. After one thousand words, Jack will die.

Paramount Pictures has pushed Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters out of its March 2 release date all the way up to January 11, 2013. As of now, it is the only movie opening on that date.

The studio has also moved the Eddie Murphy comedy A Thousand Words from March 23 (where it would have had to open against The Hunger Games) to April 20. The comedy is now facing Chimpanzee, House at the End of the Street, MS One: Maximum Security, and Seeking a Friend for the End of the World.

‘A Thousand Words’ Moves to March 2012

Paramount Pictures has moved the comedy A Thousand Words from January 13, 2012 to March 23, 2012, to capitalize on star Eddie Murphy's new gig hosting the 84th Annual Academy Awards on February 27.

A Thousand Words centers on Eddie Murphy's character, a man who learns he can only speak 1,000 more words before he dies. Cliff Curtis, Clark Duke, Kerry Washington, and Allison Janney co-star in the comedy, which is directed by Brian Robbins. A Thousand Words will square off at the box office against Lionsgate's highly-anticipated adaptation The Hunger Games.
