Alvin and the Chipmunks

Jason Lee ("My Name Is Earl") will star as David Seville in the CG/live-action hybrid film, based on the 1950s cartoon series about chipmunks Alvin, Simon and Theodore, who lay waste to Seville's surroundings and sing in three-part harmony.

‘Alvin and the Chipmunks’ Sing It Up on DVD and Blu-Ray on April 1st

Alvin, Simon and Theodore are coming to DVD in a bunch of different versions.

Alvin and the Chipmunks will be released on DVD on April 1. The film will be released in a standard editoin and in the Blu-Ray format as well. The single-disc will be priced at $29.98 and the Blu-Ray will cost $39.99. The film stars Jason Lee, Cameron Richardson and the voice of Justin Long.

‘Alvin and the Chipmunks’ Get Their Own Video Game

An Alvin and the Chipmunks video game is on the way from new publishing house Brash Entertainment. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the game will be released in conjunction with the big screen version of Alvin scheduled to hit theaters December 14th of this year.

The game will be a music and rhythm based contest aimed at kids 7 to 15. Parents familiar with Alvin and his two brothers will also get a kick out of the entertaining diversion. The game will be available for the Nintendo Wii, PC, PlayStation 2 and portable DS system.
