Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.
Ever since the new trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice debuted during Warner Bros.' Hall H panel at Comic-Con earlier this month, the superhero adventure has been riding a wave of positive buzz. There is still plenty we don't know about the story thus far, including a few actors whose characters have yet to be confirmed. Two separate reports surfaced today from Latino-Review and Heroic Hollywood that have reportedly revealed the characters played by Jena Malone and Callan Mulvey. While these details have yet to be confirmed, there may be potential spoilers below, so read on at your own risk.
Way back in October, Jena Malone was confirmed for a mystery role in Batman v Superman, after being spotted on the set alongside director Zack Snyder. Since then, she was rumored to be playing Carrie Kelley and Kahina the Seer, but those roles were never confirmed. Today's unconfirmed report reveals that she is portraying Barbara Gordon, who eventually turns into Batgirl and The Oracle in the DC Comics. Even if this report is true, it isn't known how Barbara Gordon will fit into the story. In the comics, Barbara was James Gordon's daughter. There is also a rumor that James passed away at some point before the events of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.Read More
Earlier this week, scanned photos from Empire Magazine's latest issue gave us a fresh look at Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill) and many more characters from the highly-anticipated Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Today, Empire has released the high-res images online, giving us a better look at these heroes. As you can see, Batman is using heavy artillery and Gal Gadot's Diana Prince is having a night out in her civilian attire. But it's the Superman photo that is most intriguing.
The Superman photo clearly features this superhero locked in his epic battle with Batman, a fight which has ben teased in a teaser and full-length trailer. It also features a nod to Superman lore, with the actor showcasing his iconic hair curl. The lates Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice footage shown during Warner Bros.' Hall H panel at Comic-Con showcased a few scenes that take place right before this fight, and a few tiny glimpses from the big brawl itself. It's been a fairly busy day for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice news, with plot details coming from the director and cast that reveal one very big connection between the superhero epic and the super villain adventure Suicide Squad. It seems Batman put all those bad guys away in prison. Earlier this morning, we also got 8 new photos from the Man of Steel follow-up. Empire has released yet another photo, this one featuring Bruce Wayne standing alone in his Batcave, staring at his Batsuit, ready to suit up for the title bout against Kal-El before he faces off against Lex Luthor.
This is a fairly familiar look at Ben Affleck's millionaire and his crime fighting costume. But it's still neat to see it from this angle. While the look and feel doesn't deviate too far from what we saw in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Trilogy, it is a bit damper. It's slightly darker. Wayne's Batcave looks to have fallen on hard times. He lives alone with his Butler Alfred, and from what we've seen of Wayne Manor, they've let it fall into disarray. Which hints at a very depressed superhero. One that cheers himself up with a Kryptonite-laced mech-suit.Read More
Earlier this week, Empire Magazine revealed the cover of their latest issue, which features the stars of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Henry Cavill as Superman and Ben Affleck as Batman. Today we have more details from the issue, where director Zack Snyder reveals new connections to another DC Comics adaptation, Suicide Squad. We already know that Batman will be featured in Suicide Squad, thanks to photos from the set and the trailer shown at Comic-Con, but Zack Snyder revealed that the Dark Knight actually has a history with all of the Suicide Squad members, since he put all of them in prison.
Zack Snyder hinted to Empire that Batman could be seen as a villain of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but it really comes down the each fan's perspective. It isn't known yet if either Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice or Suicide Squad will actually show Batman putting the members of Task Force X away at Belle Reve prison, but we'll have to wait and see. Following three new photos that arrived yesterday courtesy of Empire, we now 7 more glorious images from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The usual suspects are all here, and of course we get to see more from the title bout at the heart of this superhero tale. Judging from everything else we've seen so far, the movie, a follow-up to 2013's Man of Steel, will spend a huge chunk of its runtime focused on this brawl between two of DC Comics most iconic heroes. But there are other characters in the mix who will also get ample screen time, as these photos prove. Though today, villain Lex Luthor is no where to be found.
The first photo is one we saw just a few days ago. It has Kal-El and Bruce Wayne suited up, ready to go at it in the rubble of a destroyed building. Apparently, Batman has driven his Batmobile through the Detroit-like battleground that is Gotham, crashing through an abandoned factory building. As he stands up, out of his seat, Superman lands on the hood for an intense stare down. It's not clear at what point this moment comes in their fight. Is Batman trying to flee Kal-El after discovering he doesn't quite have the strength to match up to Krypton's first son? You'll notice Bruce has ditched the mech-suit. So this is probably a moment from much later in their altercation.Read More
