Adapted from Nick Flynn's 2004 memoir Another Bulls-t Night in Suck City, the new dramatic feature from Academy Award-nominated writer/director Paul Weitz tells the story of a young writer, Nick (portrayed by Paul Dano), who takes a job at a homeless shelter - where one night he discovers his long-absent father Jonathan (two-time Academy Award winner Robert De Niro) seeking a bed. Julianne Moore portrays the writer's mother Jody; and Olivia Thirlby portrays Denise, a worker at the shelter.

‘Being Flynn’ and ‘Moonrise Kingdom’ Set 2012 Release Dates

Focus Features has announced 2012 release dates for three of its upcoming movies, Being Flynn (March 2), Seeking a Friend for the End of the World (April 20), and Moonrise Kingdom (May 25). Being Flynn and Moonrise Kingdom are slated for limited release, while Seeking a Friend for the End of the World is opening wide.

Being Flynn, based on Nick Flynn's autobiography Another Bullshit Night in Suck City, will open against The Lorax, Project X, and Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters on March 2. Being Flynn stars Robert De Niro, Julianne Moore, and Paul Dano.

Paul Weitz's ‘Another Night’ Begins Production

Production has begun, on East Coast locations, on a Focus Features drama from Academy Award-nominated writer/director Paul Weitz. Formerly known as Another Night, the as-yet untitled film stars two-time Academy Award winner Robert De Niro and is based on Nick Flynn's 2004 memoir entitled 'Another Bulls-t Night in Suck City'. Focus CEO James Schamus made the announcement today.

Mr. Robert De Niro has been joined in the cast by Paul Dano, Spirit Award winner Dale Dickey (Winter's Bone), Emmy Award nominee Lili Taylor (Public Enemies), Olivia Thirlby, and four-time Academy Award nominee Julianne Moore. Paul Weitz and Andrew Miano, both of the production company Depth of Field, are producing the film with Corduroy Films and with Mr. Robert De Niro's Tribeca Productions. The executive producers are Tribeca's Jane Rosenthal and Meghan Lyvers, Caroline Baron, and Depth of Field's Kerry Kohansky.

Julianne Moore is the latest to join the comedy drama Another Night. The cast also includes Robert De Niro, Paul Dano, and Olivia Thirlby.

Paul Weitz is directing this adaptation of Nick Flynn's best selling memoir 'Another Bullshit Night in Suck City'. Weitz adapted the screenplay himself, which centers on an estranged father and son who reunite at a homeless shelter.

‘Another Night’ Adds Olivia Thirlby

Actress Olivia Thirlby has joined the cast of the adaptation Another Night for Focus Features. We reported back in January that Robert De Niro and Paul Dano have joined the cast as well.

The drama is based on the 2004 Nick Flynn memoir Another Bullshit Night in Suck City. The story centers on a young writer (Paul Dano) who takes a job at a Boston homeless shelter, where he finds his long-lost father (Robert De Niro). Olivia Thirlby will play the writer's girlfriend.
