Universal Pictures and Imagine Entertainment bring "Curious George," the original "monkey see, monkey do" chimp, to the screen in an all-new animated adventure based upon the beloved tales that have been enchanting readers for more than 60 years. George, the inquisitive little primate transplanted from the jungle to the big city by The Man in the Yellow Hat, sets off in a brand new tale for the big screen, where his spunky and fun-loving nature endear him to new friends he meets along the way and lands him in a series of adventures.

‘Curious George’ Reboot Coming Soon

The L.A. Times is reporting that Illumination Entertainment, the animation company behind Despicable Me, is developing a new version of Curious George.

The movie is expected to spin a new story of George the monkey/chimpanzee (depending on whether you favor H.A. and Margret Rey's text or the tail-less images) who's taken out of the jungle by an eccentric explorer to live in the city, where mischief always seems to find him.

Your First Look at ‘Curious George’ Goes Online

USA Today have revealed the first look at the upcoming animated adventure, Curious George, starring an all-star voice cast including Will Ferrell, Drew Barrymore, David Cross, Eugene Levy, Dick Van Dyke, Joan Plowright and Ed O'Ross.

The Man (voiced by Will Ferrell) is a timid museum employee who is reluctantly dispatched to the jungles of Africa to find artifacts for exhibit by his curator boss (Dick Van Dyke).

Rope of Silicon have scanned some images from the latest issue of Variety of the upcoming Curious George animated film adaptation.

The latest issue of Variety has also revealed more casting announcements attached the film. Joining Will Ferrell will be the voices of Drew Barrymore, David Cross, Eugene Levy, Dick Van Dyke, Joan Plowright and Ed O'Ross, all playing parts in the film.
