Dirty Girl is the story of Danielle (Juno Temple), the dirty girl of Norman High School in Norman, Oklahoma, circa 1987. When Danielle’s misbehavior gets her banished to a remedial class, she is paired on a parenting project with Clarke (Jeremy Dozier), an innocent closet-case with no friends. Danielle is determined to get to California to find the father she’s never met, and Clarke is desperate to escape being sent to military school by his homophobic dad. Together, the mismatched misfits light out for California, and discover each other and themselves through a funny and serendipitous friendship.

Dwight Yoakam and Tim McGraw Join ‘Dirty Girl’

Mary Steenburgen, Dwight Yoakam and Tim McGraw have joined the cast of the indie comedy Dirty Girl. Sally Hawkins, William H. Macy, Lisa Kudrow, Juno Temple, Jeremy Dozier and Milla Jovovich have already boarded the project.

According to Variety, Dirty Girl is set in 1987 in Oklahoma, and stars Juno Temple as a high school tramp seeking the father she never knew who runs away with a closeted gay boy who wants to escape going to military school, portrayed by newcomer Jeremy Dozier.

Juno Temple Joins Three Projects

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 21-year-old Temple joins the ensemble cast of Dirty Girl, the drama from Killer Films in which she plays the title character, a notorious high school slut who runs away with her closeted gay class partner to drive from Oklahoma to California to find the father she's never met.

Milla Jovovich, William H. Macy, Dwight Yoakam and Mary Steenburgen round out the cast of the movie, which Abe Sylvia is directing from his own script.

Sally Hawkins and William H. Macy Join the Cast of ‘Dirty Girl’

According to Variety, Sally Hawkins and William H. Macy have joined the cast of Abe Sylvia's directorial debut, Dirty Girl.

The London-based international sales firm the Salt Co. is presently representing foreign rights, while WME is handling domestic. Also starring in the film are Lisa Kudrow, Juno Temple and Jeremy Dozier.
