"Drive Angry 3D" looks and feels total "grind house" movie. With naked women, cartoon violence, hot muscle cars, and the most outrageous movie plot to come out of "mainsteam" Hollywood in ages.
The Plot: John Milton (Nicolas Cage) is a criminal that has broken out of Hell to kill Jonah King (Billy Burke), a cult leader that tricked Milton's daughter into joining his followers in the wake of Milton's death only to kill her and her husband and steal their daughter - Milton's granddaughter - to be sacrificed in a Satanist ritual.
The true joy comes when we meet The Account (William Fichtner) - an agent from hell sent to retrieve the runaway Milton. He is invincible, telepathic and has a wicked sense of humor.
If you are looking for great Oscar performances, a plausible plot, or even a coherent script ....but what "Drive Angry" does have a is a hell of a ride and a great time at the theater for two hours.
The only bad point of the film, was the 3-D started to get real old, fast.
Seeing grass blow in the breeze, or a bar scene in 3-D is not necessary.
