This will be the first Toho produced Godzilla movie since 2004's Final Wars. It will mark the 29th Godzilla movie for the studio.

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has announced that Godzilla will debut on Blu-ray and DVD September 16. When the Saturday schedule for Comic-Con 2014 was released over the weekend, one of the big Hall H panels announced was for Legendary Pictures, although no specific titles were revealed. The Wrap reports today that the studio may be using the Hall H stage to surprise fans by unveiling a sequel to Godzilla, while presenting Crimson Peak and As Above, So Below.
