A top secret military project hires prestigous university students to assist create a cell altering machine called the 'gammasphere'. Lead of the group is arrogant Bruce Banner, mainly complimented by compassionate Betty Ross. When the gammasphere goes wrong, Bruce Banner is afflicted with the ability to turn into a mammoth creature soon dubbed 'The Hulk', a manifestation of his own inner demons that he mutates into when it is emotionally triggered. Miami Vice may not have burned up the box office but that isn't hurting Universal's hopes for the title on DVD.

THE HULK destroys all comers at the box-office

The Hulk: the latest installment in a summer riddled with sequels and remakes, got off to a smashing start, taking in an estimated $62.6 million at the box-office last weekend. The remake starring Eric Bana, Jennifer Connelly and Nick Nolte was released in 3,660 theaters, the 4th widest opening in history and nabbed an impressive $17,115 per theater.

"Finding Nemo" came in second place with an equally impressive $20.5 million estimated take in its fourth week. The Disney/Pixar animated movie proved its staying power once again, dropping only 27.7% from last week, averaging $6,032 in 3,404 theaters, bringing it's total to $227.9 million.
