Kung Fu Panda 2 Review

“Stealth Mode!”

May 31st, 2011

This movie focused more on Kung Fu action & the story behind Po's adoption. It was not as funny as the first movie. The funniest part is Po's stealth mode.

Luckily there was plenty of Kung Fu action. It was spread throughout the movie with him & The Furious Five saving villages & fighting the bad guys. It isn't an easy victory for them as they have a bunch of set backs in their quest to take out the main bad guy but of course in the end they succeed. The movie did a good job of balancing the lessons for kids (adoption, parents, hard work, perseverance, inner peace) with all the action.

The Furious Five barely get any lines though as the movie is mostly Po vs. the bad guys. Even Tigress barely talks. It was a good movie but don't expect to laugh throughout the movie. I did like all of the different types of animals that are used in the movie. The 3D looks great, as it usually does with CGI movies. There are plenty of 3D camera shots with things flying at you & flying through the air.

This is more of a standard Kung Fu action movie so try not to blink because the action moves pretty fast.
